This specimen was lot 1527 in Goldberg Sale 146 (Los Angeles, July 2025), where it sold for $78. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Saxe-Old-Weimar. Groschen, 1630. William and his three brothers 1628-1639. Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the German confession. Open book with writing. Reverse: Writing within a wreath. Pop 1; The only one graded at PCGS. Lightly toned. PCGS graded EF-40. The Augustana Collection." This particular permutation of Saxe-Weimar, known as Saxe-Middle-Weimar, lasted 1605-40. This groschen is listed as a 1/24 thaler in the SCWC, which amounts to the same thing.
