This specimen was lot 2669 in Sincona sale 87 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 5,250 CHF (about US$7,070 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ITALIEN Savoyen, Ludovico, 1440-1465. Ducato d'oro o. J., Cornavin. Sehr selten. Gutes sehr schön. (Italy, duchy of Savoy, Louis, 1440-65, undated gold ducat, Cornavin mint. Very rare, Good very fine.)"
All of the duchy's gold coinage prior to the late sixteenth century is very rare. This ruler also issued a scudo d'oro (Fr-1020 and -1022) and a half scudo d'oro (Fr-1021).
