Savoy (1329-43) grosso
This specimen was lot 2000 in Sincona sale 94 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 4,750 CHF (about US$6,584 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ITALIEN Savoyen / Sardinien, Aymon 1329-1343. Grosso Bianco Dozzeno o. J. (1329-1343), Pont d'Ain. Grosses A eingefasst von vier Sternen. Rv. A fourth piece was sold in 1930 from the Carlo Beraud di Torino collection (1st part) by Michele Baranowsky, Milan, lot 11, for 800 lire. Our coin is probably the fifth known example.)"
