This specimen was lot 45669 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $180. The catalog description[1] noted, "SARAWAK. 50 Cents, 1906-H. Heaton Mint. NGC EF Details--Damaged. The obverse is extensively marked and dinged but we consider the "Damaged" designation a little harsh." Sarawak, a British colony on the northwest coast of Borneo, was ruled by a dynasty of white rajahs from 1841 to 1946. This type was issued 1900 and 1906 from Heaton. It is scarce in all grades. It is accompanied by silver five, ten and twenty cents.
