This specimen was lot 1552 in Steve Album sale 16 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2013), where it sold for $424.80. The catalog description[1] noted, "SARAWAK: Charles J. Brooke, rajah, 1868-1917, AE ¼ cent, 1896-H, a choice example, NGC graded MS66 BR." Sarawak, a British colony on the northwest coast of Borneo, was ruled by a dynasty of white rajahs from 1841 to 1946. This type was issued 1870 and 1896 from London. It is common in low grade but expensive in nice condition.
Recorded mintage: 283,000 plus proofs.
