This specimen was lot 36523 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2022), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "SARAWAK. Cent, 1894-H. Heaton Mint. Charles J. Brooke. PCGS MS-64 Brown. Tied with just one other example as the finest certified by PCGS." Sarawak, a British colony on the northwest coast of Borneo, was ruled by a dynasty of white rajahs from 1841 to 1946. This denomination was struck 1870-91 without hole, 1892-97 with hole.
