This specimen was lot 72754 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2019), where it sold for $576. The catalog description[1] noted, "SARAWAK. Cent, 1888. Charles J. Brooke. NGC MS-63 Brown. The piece exhibits a good solid strike with attractive satiny surfaces and a nice cartwheel effect. The surfaces are encompassed with lovely mottled chocolate and mocha patina." This denomination was struck 1870, 1879-91 without hole, 1892-97 with hole. No silver coins were issued until 1900.
