This specimen was lot 2680 in Steve Album Auction 52 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "SAN MARINO: Republic, AR lira, 1906, essentially invisible hairlines in a small portion of the fields - a lovely flashy coin, UNC." This type was struck in Rome in 1898 and 1906, with this date obtaining a slight premium. The weight and fineness matches that of a contemporary Italian lira and French franc.
