This specimen was lot 1148 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "SAN MARINO: Republic, AE 5 centesimi, 1864, a wonderful example, PCGS graded MS64 RB, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." This appears to be the first coin specifically struck for circulation in San Marino. It was likely made in Milan by the newly unified kingdom of Italy. This is the scarcest of three dates (1864, 1869 and 1894).
