Sincona sale 87, lot 3051

This specimen was lot 3051 in Sincona sale 87 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 50 CHF (about US$67 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RDR / ÖSTERREICH Salzburg, Erzbistum, Hieronymus von Colloredo, 1772-1803. 20 Kreuzer 1795, Salzburg. Vorzüglich-FDC. (archbishopric of Salzburg, Hieronymus von Colloredo, 1772-1803, twenty kreuzer of 1795, Salzburg mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1787-1803 and is common. The archbishopric was secularized in 1803 and passed to Austria in 1814.
