Sincona sale 77, lot 2996

This specimen was lot 2996 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$146 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA | Salzburg, Erzbistum. Hieronymus von Colloredo, 1772-1803. 20 Kreuzer 1775, Salzburg. NGC MS62. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (archbishopric of Salzburg, Hieronymus von Colloredo, 1772-1803, twenty kreuzer of 1775, Salzburg mint. Magnificent condition, uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1774-86 and is listed as common, tho this is the first one we have seen.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 6.68 g, 0.583 fine silver.
