This specimen was lot 6413 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. Salzburg. 4 Kreuzer, 1692. Johann Ernst Graf von Thun und Hohenstein. NGC MS-65. A pleasing Gem with razor-sharp strike detail, soft luster, and a faintly pearl-colored toning." This is the only issue of this denomination during the seventeenth century. The batzen was a coin better known in Switzerland.
