This specimen was lot 1002 in Goldberg Sale 146 (Los Angeles, July 2025), where it sold for $96. The catalog description[1] noted, "Austria: Salzburg. 10 Kreuzer (Zehner), 1525. Matthäus Lang von Wellenburg 1519-1540. Two shields under bishops hat. Reverse: Archbishop standing before Saint. Lightly toned. Pop 1. The only one graded at PCGS. PCGS graded EF-40. The Augustana Collection." This type was struck 1523-31 and 1531. At this time, one thaler or guldiner was sixty kreuzer. By the end of the sixteenth century, the thaler had risen to 72 kreuzer while the gulden remained sixty kreuzer.
