This specimen was lot 72431 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2022), where it sold for $60. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 10 Kopeks, 1928. Leningrad (St. Petersburg) Mint. NGC MS-64. This handsome near-Gem is coated with a light irradiance of watercolor toning, that allows some soft and serene luster to peek through. A handsome example of the type." This type was struck 1924-31 and all the dates are common except the proofs and the 1931. It and the accompanying 15, 20 and 50 kopeks were the last silver coins struck for circulation.
