This specimen was lot 2222 in Goldberg's NY International sale 59 (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $28,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "Rouble 1906 ЭБ. Rare. Authenticated and graded by NGC PF 63 (Pre-2008 holder, # 2041959-004). Frosted devices in mirrorlike fields. Choice brilliant PROOF." In 1886, the ruble was reduced to 20 grams after having been fixed at 20.73 grams since 1798. This type was struck 1894-1915. This is a rare date, nearly the key (1904, 1905 and 1913 are priced higher).

Recorded mintage: 46,000.
