This specimen was lot 1274 in Sincona sale 93 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 1,500 CHF (about US$2,079 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RUSSLAND Kaiserreich und Föderation, Alexander II. 1855-1881, 50 Kopecks 1893, St. Petersburg Mint, (AG). Selten, Rare. NGC AU58."
This type is listed for 1886-94, superseding the old poltina or half ruble. All dates are scarce. Alexander III ruled 1881-94. Mintmaster AG was Appolon Grasgov.
