Stack's Bowers 2014 ANA sale, lot 1530

This specimen was lot 1530 in Stack's Bowers ANA auction (Chicago, August 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 5 Kopek, 1879-St. Petersburg mint 1867-81 and was the final type of copper five kopeks until 1916 (KM Y12.3). St. Petersburg also issued silver five kopeks 1810-1915.

Recorded mintage: 14,652,000.

Specification: 16.4 g, copper, 32.6 mm diameter, reeded edge.
