This specimen was lot 2095 in Goldberg's NY International sale 59 (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "5 Kopecks 1797 CM-ФЦ. Heavy standard. Authenticated and graded by NGC XF Details, obv tooled. (# 6611823-016). Toned. Obverse pinscratches. Extremely fine." The new emperor Paul was against everything his mother Catherine II stood for. This lasted one year and in 1798 the weights of both coins were reduced.
