This specimen was lot 40747 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $21,850. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Albertus Ruble, 1796-BM. PCGS AU-55 Secure Holder. Paul I (1796-1801). Planned for Baltic Trade. Regarded by some authorities as a pattern. Nicely toned."

Recorded mintage: unknown but rare.
