This specimen was lot 36488 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2022), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 15 Kopeks, 1787-CNB. St. Petersburg Mint. Catherine II (the Great). NGC MS-60." This is a common date of a style used 1783-94. This denomination was struck in several styles during the reign of Catherine the Great, after which the denomination was dropped until the 1860's.
