This specimen was lot 75384 in Stack's Bowers May 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $732. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Ruble, 1787-CNB RA. St. Petersburg Mint. Catherine II "the Great". PCGS AU-50. A lightly toned crown from later in the reign of Catherine, this specimen exhibits only a minor degree of handling." This type was struck 1783-96 and is the last ruble for Catherine the Great. Assayer Yakov Afanasyev ("ЯА") operated 1785-93.

Recorded mintage: 900,000, a slightly better date.

Specification: 24 g, 0.750 fine silver, 39 mm diameter.
