This specimen was lot 7155 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Ruble, 1786-CNB RA. Catherine II (the Great) (1762-96). NGC AU-55. Gorgeous flannel grey and rose toning with attractive luster." The YA stands for assayer Yakov Afonasiev. The 1786 is the most common date of a type struck 1783-96.

Recorded mintage: 2,600,000.

Specification: 24 g, 0.750 fine silver.
