This specimen was lot 1472 in Stack's Bowers ANA auction (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $11,750. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 10 Ruble, 1785-CNB. Catherine II (the Great) (1762-96). PCGS EF-40 Secure Holder. RARE." This five rubles, tho less rare than those of Elizabeth, is still plenty expensive. It is listed for 1783-96. Russia has the distinction of being the first country to issue decimal currency, as 100 kopeks = one ruble.
