This specimen was lot 76171 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 1/4 Ruble (Polupoltinnik), 1746-MMA. Moscow Mint. Elizabeth. NGC EF-45. A sharply and somewhat off center struck example, with pleasing gray toning that shows hints of almond in the fields." This type was struck in Moscow 1742-61 but is not easy to find. Mintmaster initials were added in 1751.

Recorded mintage: 368,000 including the 1746/5 overdate.

Specification: 6.46 g, 0.802 fine silver, 24 mm diameter.
