Sincona sale 93, lot 1025

This specimen was lot 1025 in Sincona sale 93 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 40 CHF (about US$56 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUSSLAND Kaiserreich und Föderation, Peter I. 1682-1725, Polushka 1720, Naberezhny Mint, ND. Gutes sehr schön, Good Very Fine."

This type was struck 1718-22, some with Cyrillic letters, as here, but most with Arabic numerals. One hundred kopeks make a ruble.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.02 g, copper, this specimen 0.76 g.
