Sincona sale 93, lot 1017

This specimen was lot 1017 in Sincona sale 93 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 80 CHF (about US$111 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUSSLAND Kaiserreich und Föderation, Peter I. 1682-1725, Polushka 1719, Naberezhny Mint, ND. Vorzüglich, Extremely Fine."

This type was struck 1718-22, some with Cyrillic letters, as here, but most with Arabic numerals. One hundred kopeks make a ruble.

Specification: 1.02 g, copper, this specimen 1.01 g.
