This specimen was lot 266 in Numismatica Ars Classica Auction 60 (Milan, June 2011) where it sold for 21,000 EUR. The lot description noted, "Monete di zecche italiane, Ronco Scrivia, Napoleone Spinola, 1647-1672. Scudo 1669. NAPOLIO SPIN MAR ROCHÆ FOR Busto drappeggiato e corazzato, a d.; nel taglio del braccio, G H F (Giovanni Hamerani incisore). Rv. ET S ROM IMP COM RONCHI D ET C 1669 Stemma Spinola caricato su aquila bicipite coronata. Della più esimia rarità, pochissimi esemplari conosciuti. Patina di medagliere, leggere striature sul tondello al dr., Spl. (county of Ronco, Napoleone Spinola, 1647-1672, scudo of 1669. Obverse: armored and draped bust right; reverse: crowned, nimbate double headed eagle supports the Spinola arms. Extremely rare, only a few examples known. Medallic patina, a few adjustment marks, extremely fine.)" Ronco lies in the north of the republic of Genoa. The counts struck a few scudi there before closing the mint in 1699.
