This specimen was lot 3196 in Sincona sale 33 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 800 CHF (about US$950 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RUMÄNIEN. Carol I. 1866-1914 1 Leu 1876. Brüssel. Sehr selten. Sehr schön. (Romania, Carol I, 1866-1914, one leu of 1876, Brussels mint. Very rare, Very fine.)"
This type was struck at Brussels 1873-76 and is common in worn condition altho this is a rare date.

Specification: 5 g, 0.835 fine silver, .268 troy oz ASW, this specimen 4.89 g.
