Steve Album Auction 53, lot 921

This specimen was lot 921 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "ROMANIA: Carol I, Prince, 1866-1881, AR 2 lei, 1873, struck at the Brussels Mint, an attractive lustrous example, PCGS graded AU55." This type was struck at Brussels 1872-76 and is common in worn condition.

Recorded mintage: 1,745,000.

Specification: 10 g, 0.835 fine silver, .268 troy oz ASW.
