This specimen was lot 1142 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €650 (about US$840 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"REUSS-SCHLEIZ, GRAFSCHAFT, Heinrich XII. 1744-1784. Konv.-Taler 1763, Saalfeld, auf den Frieden von Hubertusburg. Fast vorzüglich. (Germany, county of Reuss-Schleiz, Henry XII, 1744-84, convention thaler of 1763, Saalfeld mint, on the peace of Hubertusburg. Choice extremely fine.)"

This and an issue of 1764 (Dav-2641) are the only eighteenth century thalers from this locale. Both are rare. This one honors the peace of Hubertusburg, which ended the Seven Years War.

Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.

Specification: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver.
