This specimen was lot 41537 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Reuss-Lobenstein. 2 Groschen, 1759-ICE. Heinrich II. PCGS MS-66." The Reuss-Lobenstein line was founded in 1635 and lapsed in 1824, when it was merged with Reuss-Ebersdorf. This commemorative, unusual in being so small a denomination, is scarce. no thalers or gold were issued for this state in the eighteenth century.
