Künker sale 293, lot 1141

This specimen was lot 1141 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €800 (about US$1,078 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"REGENSBURG, STADT, 1/2 Konv.-Taler 1791, mit Titel Leopolds II. Slg. Bach (Auktion Künker 238) 4926. Prachtexemplar. Erstabschlag. Winz. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand, fast Stempelglanz. (Germany, city of Regensburg, half thaler of 1791, struck in the name of Leopold II. First strike, edge crack, about uncirculated.)"

This is the last half thaler of the century.
