This specimen was lot 75045 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $105. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Regensburg. Pfennig, 1764. Regensburg Mint. NGC MS-65." One thaler was 480 pfenning (the modern spelling was not adopted until the 19th century). This type was struck 1747-66 and has a modest catalog value.
Recorded mintage: 72,000.
