Künker sale 405, lot 3093

This specimen was lot 3093 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €7,500 (about US$9,841 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS FERDINAND II., 1619-1637. Kurant- und Scheidemünzen aus der Zeit des Kaisers Ferdinand II. Nach Überwindung der Kipperkrise 1623. Reichstaler 1632, mit Titel Ferdinands II. Münzmeister Balthasar Ziegler. Von großer Seltenheit. Hübsche Patina, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (city of Regensburg, local coinage from the time of emperor Ferdinand II, after the kipper crisis of 1623. One thaler of 1632, in the name of Ferdinand II. Extremely rare, handsome patina, very fine to extremely fine.)"
