This specimen was lot 3084 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €6,250 (about US$8,201 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS FERDINAND II., 1619-1637. Ein vollwertiger Guldentaler von 1621. Guldentaler (60 Kreuzer) 1621, mit Titel Ferdinands II. Münzmeister Haubold Lehner. RR Hübsche Patina, sehr schön-vorzüglich. Der Anlaß zur Prägung des vorliegenden Stückes war vermutlich die Aufnahme der Prägung in der neuen Münzstätte. 1621 erbaute der Magistrat eine neue Münzstätte an der Ecke der Glocken- und Gesandtengasse, wo sie bis zum Ende der reichsstädtischen Münzprägung verblieb. (city of Regensburg, a full-fledged guldenthaler from 1621, in the name of Ferdinand II. Very rare, handsome patina, very fine to extremely fine. The reason for minting this piece was probably the start of production in the new mint. In 1621, the magistrates built a new mint on the corner of Glocken- and Gesandtengasse, where it remained until the end of the imperial city's coinage.)"
