Prussia 1735-EGN 3 gute pfennig
This specimen was lot 3296 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €90 (about US$125 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich Wilhelm I. der Soldatenkönig, 1713-1740. 3 Gute Pfennig 1735, EGN, Berlin. Mit GUTE auf der Rückseite. Münzmeister Ernst Georg Neubauer. v. Schr. 417; Olding 269 a. Fast vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Westfälische Auktionsgesellschaft 20, Dortmund 2002, Nr. 420. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick William I, the Soldier King, 1713-40, three good pfennig of 1735, Berlin mint, with GUTE on the reverse legend. About extremely fine.)"
The "gute" in the name of the coin is supposed to indicate "good silver" but this minor is just as debased as the rest of Prussian coinage in this period.
