Prince Edward Island 1815 half penny token
The first specimen was lot 76254 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. Prince Edward Island. Brass 1/2 Penny Token, 1815. PCGS Genuine--Environmental Damage, VF Details. From the Richard August Collection." The second specimen was lot 76255 in the same sale, where it sold for $145. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. Prince Edward Island. Brass 1/2 Penny Token, 1815. PCGS EF-45. Obverse: "SHIPS COLONIES AND COMMERCE 1815" as legend around ship; Reverse: "FOR PUBLICK ACCOMODATION". From the Richard August Collection."
