This specimen was lot 52145 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $5,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Pontefract (besieged). Shilling Octagonal Klippe, 1648. Charles I. PCGS VF-30. Displaying a fair degree of handling, but nevertheless retaining all design aspects as well as some deep gunmetal gray toning. Considerably RARER than the issue that appears on a lozenge-shaped planchet. From the Lucius S. Ruder Collection." The royalists also issued several other shillings (KM 381, KM 378, KM 383.2), a unite and a half crown.
