This specimen was lot 1134 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND: Republic, AR 10 zlotych, 1997, Stefan Batory, Choice Proof." This is one of many ten złotych NCLT's struck in 1997. In 1995, the coinage was reformed, with one new złoty = 10,000 old złotych. Stephen Báthory (1533-84) was prince of Transylvania and king of Poland-Lithuania 1576-86.
Recorded mintage: 5,250 struck at Warsaw.
