Sincona sale 94, lot 2184

This specimen was lot 2184 in Sincona sale 94 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 3,700 CHF (about US$5,128 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"POLEN Republik. 200 Zlotych 1985, Valcambi Mint. Auf den Besuch Johannes Pauls II. (republic of Poland, 200 złotych of 1985, Valcambi mint, on the visit of pope John Paul II. NGC PF66 ULTRA CAMEO.)"

The SCWC lists this design for 1982 and 1986 but not 1985. The mintage given below is taken from Numista.

Recorded mintage: 1 plus 5 proofs.

Specification: 28.28 g, 0.750 fine silver, 40 mm diameter, this specimen 28.40 g.
