Sincona sale 39, lot 3788

This specimen was lot 3788 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"POLEN, Johann Kasimir, 1649-1668 Ort 1668. Krakau Mmz. TLB (Titus Livius Boratini). Vorzüglich. (kingdom of Poland, John Casimir, 1649-68, ort of 1668, Crakow mint. Extremely fine.)"

This type was struck in Poland 1651-68 but is not catalogued above VF, suggesting hard use. The 18 groszy = tympf and was probably one-fifth of a thaler.
