This specimen was lot 25490 in Heritage sale 3015 (Long Beach, September 2011), where it sold for $920. The catalog description[1] noted, "Wladislaus Talar 1636, AVF with some surface patination and light tooling in the obverse fields." The SCWC records this type for 1633-40 and, while not common, as among the more available Polish thalers. Wladyslaw IV, a member of the Swedish Wasa family, ruled Poland 1633-48. The initials "II" stand for Jacob Jacobsen of Emden.
