This specimen was lot 31127 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $3,120. The catalog description[1] noted, "Poland: Sigismund III (1587-1632) Taler 1627-II AU50 NGC. An elite representative of this large-size silver issue, produced to a high standard with a definitive strike and reasonably fresh dies. Sigismund's portrait is fully represented and with only minor highpoint wear, the dove-gray fields exhibiting residual luster and a slight darkening around the devices. Seldom offered in any grade." The SCWC lists numerous varieties of this coin issued 1625-33.
