Pfalz 1762-AS 1/2 thaler
This specimen was lot 2268 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €600 (about US$850 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHE MÜNZEN UND MEDAILLEN · PFALZ, KURFÜRSTENTUM Karl Theodor, 1743-1799. 1/2 Konv.-Taler 1762, Mannheim. Hübsche Patina, fast vorzüglich. (Germany, electorate of the Palatinate, Charles Theodore, 1743-99, half convention thaler of 1762, Mannheim mint. Handsome patina, about extremely fine.)"
This type was also struck in 1763. The initials are on the reverse, below the Order chain.
