This specimen was lot 2184 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 4,750 CHF (about US$5,766 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"GERMANY | Pfalz | -Kurlinie. Philipp I. 1476-1508. Goldgulden 1506, Neumarkt, für die Oberpfalz. Münzmeister Matthias Lerch. Sehr selten. Sehr schön. (Germany, electorate of the Palatinate, Philip I, 1476-1508, goldgulden of 1506, Neumarkt mint, for the Upper Palatinate. Very rare, Very fine.)"
The Palatinate, on the border with France, was divided several times. This rare type is listed for 1500-06.
