This one centimo, issued from 2005, replaced a brass one centimo issued 1991-2006. In 1991, the currency was reformed, one nuevo sol = one million intis. Surprisingly enough, the nuevo sol has remained stable against the dollar (US$1 = S/. 2.77, October 2013, US$1 = S/. 3.63, January 2021).

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 0.83 g, aluminum.

Catalog reference: KM 303.4a.
