This specimen was lot 33573 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic gold 'Alfonso Urgarte' 50000 Soles 1979-LIMA MS66 NGC, Lima mint. Boldly struck and lustrous." This type, issued 1979 from Lima, is part of a series of gold commemoratives honoring Peruvian heroes.
