This dinero, or dime, was struck 1888-1916 in Lima, Peru, in respectable numbers. Many were saved and uncirculated specimens are available. This date is common. The silver coin was replaced in 1918 by a copper-nickel ten centavos. There are two varieties for the year, that with the assayers TF, and with the assayer F.
Recorded mintage: 534,000 (all varieties).
Specification: 2.5 g, 0.900 fine silver, 0.0723 ASW, reeded edge.
