This type was struck at at Cuzco 1830-34. The complete span of Peru standing liberty eight reales runs 1825-55. High grade examples like the one shown always bring a premium. Assayer GM is recorded for the Cuzco mint 1826-27, so the initial G may or may not be one of those people. The example shown was lot 28875 in Heritage sale 3012 (New York, January 2011), where it sold for $431. The catalog description reads: "Republic Cuzco 8 Reales 1830G, AU58 NGC, very choice for a Cuzco example."
