This specimen was lot 74870 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Scotland. Perthshire. Perth. Copper 1/2 Penny Token, 1797. PCGS MS-62 Brown. Obverse: Man dragging fishnet to shore, anchored boat behind; Reverse: Completed taybridge. A handsome nearly-Choice token, delivering rich eye appeal and much charm throughout. An example that will undoubtedly capture the attention of many specialists."
